Key Frames at iLight Marina Bay

… Marina Bay, Singapore. I enjoyed Key Frames by Groupe LAPS, France. The description in the event brochure didn’t do it justice:

“20 stick-like figures come to life in a choreographed display of light and sound.”

The truth is I can’t do any better, on paper. I could describe the display better verbally but really it’s something you just have to see. It’s funny! šŸ˜€ This photo doesn’t do it justice either. The light was switching really quickly to create motion. It’s just something I enjoyed, for the record. Check out the breakdancers. šŸ™‚

  1. …now I am sorry that I did not visit iLight. BTW, what’s the deal with this trend to start names with “i”. hahaha

    1. Awww…I’m sure it’ll be back next year. Perhaps the pictures “romanticise” (as in opposed to reason) it a little more than what it is though. I should clarify. It’s quite a trudge as the exhibits are spaced out and dot the entire Marina Bay area. And there are the “blockers”. šŸ˜› šŸ™„ I didn’t get to see all the exhibits too. So don’t feel bad. What I enjoyed was that it was an outdoor exhibition for a change, the creative thought and energy behind the installations. Plus, the chance to stretch my iPhone 4S camera. šŸ™‚

And that’s where the “i” phenomenon started, I think. With Apple. iPod, iMac, iPhone, iPad, iOS…. presumably to extend the individual into the product or vice versa, and so personalising it. I may be wrong. šŸ˜• It could be some poor sod who used it first but wasn’t big enough to make an impact. I shall go check this one out.
